Concert on the Lawn 2005
Concert on the Lawn was a bittersweet time for me. I had just returned
from my sister's funeral. Dave Anderson stepped up and took the task of
overseeing the final week of preparation for the event. I returned the
night before the concert opened. I had some last minute details to tend
to myself, but the majority of responsibilities ere lifted from my
shoulders. For the most part I was treated to being a guest at my own
event. I laughed. I cried. I'm grateful to the many people that
accepted me with my grief and offered condolences. At time my troubles
were forgotten, and when I remembered them, those around me cared
enough to be with me.
